Warmer waters has the fish fired up! Speaking of Reds, the Redfish bite remains steady with the warming temps. We found schools of slot sized Reds chewing on the east side of Pine Island Sound directly across from Sanibel and Captiva Islands.  We also found some nice upper slot reds in Matlacha pass this past week as well. Cut bait and small live pins did the trick!

The temps are finally warming up and the fishing is red hot here is Southwest Florida!

Plenty of Sheepshead still around for our northern guests.  The Sheepshead bite has been steady this season along the mouth of the Caloosahatchee river on both the Fort Myers and Cape Coral sides.  Shrimp tipped jigs and crabs (If you can find them) worked best. 

This warming trend has fired up the Snook bite big time! We found plenty of Snook chewing on the east side of Pine Island Sound directly across from Sanibel and Captiva Islands.  Big hand pick shrimp was magic for us along the sand and oyster bars on the sunny late morning and afternoon tide.

The steady cold temps are making for some
of the best Sheepshead fishing we’ve seen in a while! We found plenty of good sheeps in the usual spots. East side of Pine Island Sound directly across from Sanibel and Captiva Islands.  Live shrimp worked very very good for us. 

We found nice Trout of all sizes along the mouth of the Caloosahatchee river on both the Fort Myers and Cape Coral sides.  Big hand pick shrimp did the trick as is common for this time of year.
