Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, Matlacha and Pine Island Spring Fishing Report

Summer break is in full swing and our guests are having a blast.  Catching some tasty fish is a bonus!!

Mangrove snappers have been the highlight of our trips the last two weeks. The weather has been very cooperative, allowing us to hit some of our near shore reefs for some tasty Mang’s. We are finding great quality fish just offshore of Sanibel Island Captiva Island.  The early morning and late evening bite has been the best with live bait.

Lots of Snook in the Inshore Waters providing some great action on light tackle.  The summer high tides are driving the fish deep into the mangroves of Pine Island Sound.  Finding some nice size fish along the mouth of the river on both the Cape Coral and Fort Myers Shorelines. 

Given the good fishing we’ve had so far this summer, we expect nothing but the best in August and September.
