Can you say AMERICAN RED SNAPPER!!  Recreational Red Snapper season in state and federal waters of the Gulf of Mexico began on June 4th and we wasted no time putting our clients on some big fish!

We ran three Captain for Hire offshore charters  this past week and all three achieved limits of ARS, Red Grouper, Big Mangs and more.  

Water temperatures remain a bit cooler than this time last year allowing for a shorter run to the snapper grounds.  Live bait worked very well for these delicious monsters as did dead bait.  

American Red Snapper are some of the hardest fighting fish in the gulf.  Not to mention they are amazing table fare.

After a week of sitting at the dock due to high winds, we were back in action this week with daily inshore trips from Cape Coral and Fort Myers.

We picked up right we’re we left off with a hot inshore bite along Sanibel Island and Captiva Island.  The Snook have really been active along Pine Island Sound near the passes on the afternoon high tide.  Had some great trips this last week including a pair of lady anglers that are now addicted to the action!

The Redfish have been very active at the peek of the high tide along Matlacha and Pine Island with cut bait being the bait of choice.
