HAMMERHEADS!!! Had some great trips this past week with awesome guests and some surprises! Juvenile Hammerhead Sharks provided some awesome action on light tackle and made for some memories for our guests. Big Snook continue to move inland towards Cape Coral and Fort Myers but still plenty of fish along Pine Island Sound and Matlacha. Bait is all over the place with huge bait pods inshore and offshore.
Some decent Redfish are showing up around Sanibel and Captiva. The late morning/early afternoon high tides made for some great action along the mangroves! Capt. Jay Rod Cape Coral, Fort Myers and Sanibel Fishing Charters (239) 707-3756

We’re back! Salty Native Charters has returned to the beautiful waters of Southwest Florida after our summer in the Florida Keys and we’re picking up right where we left off!
The Snook bite has been unbelievable! We landed some quality fish this week from the passes around Sanibel and Captiva Islands as well as the the mangroves along pine Islands Sound on the late afternoon high tide. Found some decent fish along the shores of Cape Coral and Fort Myers on the Caloosahatchee River during the early morning outgoing tide. Should be a great week of fishing with strong incoming tides and solid weather! Capt. Jay Rod Cape Coral, Fort Myers and Sanibel Fishing Charters (239) 707-3756 |
