The Red Grouper bite was red hot this past week! The break in the winds allowed us to run three Captain For Hire trips out to the beautiful waters of that Guide of Mexico.
Leaving from Sanibel Island and Captiva Island, the calm seas allowed us to reach the grouper grounds in no time. New Florida residents from Illinois, Minnesota and New York all were pleasantly surprised with limits of grouper and snapper on their own boat! With so many new boaters moving to Cape Coral, Fort Myers and Pine Island, now is the time to book a Captain For Hire charter with Salty Native Charters. Our instructional fishing charters provide all the bait, tackle and experience you need to catch big fish all on YOUR boat! Call today for more information on every service we provide. Capt. The inshore fishing here in southwest Florida can not be ignored! While the Tarpon fishing has been hot and cold, the Snook and big Redfish bite has been amazing in the Cape Coral and Fort Myers area.
The Snook were in full transition mode and biting during the early morning incoming tide in Pine Island Sound along Sanibel and Captiva Islands. The big bull Redfish remain strong in Matlacha along the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River in Cape Coral and Fort Myers. We’ll see what the winds allow us to do this coming week but it will be hard to pull away for some of the best inshore action we’ve had for a while!!! Capt. Jay Rod Cape Coral, Fort Myers and Sanibel Fishing Charters (239) 707-3756 The inshore bite in southwest Florida is red hot with strong numbers of Tarpon moving into Pine Island Sound along Sanibel and Captiva Islands. The Snook are in full transition to spawning mode and they are hungry! This weeks trips continues to average over 20 releases of Snook per trip. We found big fish in Matlacha Pass just down the river from Cape Coral and Fort Myers.
The hottest bite this last week was by far the big bull Redfish. We found good number of big fish in the passes and along the deeper cuts near open water. Expect this amazing action to continue through the month of May with bigger fish showing up later in the month! Capt. Jay Rod Cape Coral, Fort Myers and Sanibel Fishing Charters (239) 707-3756 |
