Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, Matlacha and Pine Island Fishing Report4/24/2022 This past week we experienced what we hope will be our last cold front of the season. But the fish didn’t seem to mind!
Redfish are here and showing up in good numbers in Pine Island Sound from south Sanibel Island to the northern end of Captiva Island. Also managed some nice upper slot Redfish in the Pineland area of Pine Island as well as the southern islands of Matlacha. Snook are still a plenty along the Fort Myers and Cape Coral shorelines of the Caloosahatchee River. The later afternoon high tides really turned on the bite! TARPON are here! We jumped our first fish this week while fishing the flats for Cobia. Looking forward to another great Tarpon season. Still some dates left in May.
