Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, Matlacha and Pine Island Fishing Report3/8/2023 Weather is definitely heating up in southwest Florida and so is the fishing!!!
The recent warming trend has really fired up the inshore action and the Snook bite could not be any better. We found Snook of all sizes everywhere from the shorelines on Sanibel and Captiva Islands to both sides of the Caloosahatchee river in Cape Coral and Fort Myers. We also found good numbers of upper slot fish along the eastern side of Pine Island sound on the early afternoon high tides. We really enjoyed some nice clean water along the shores of Matlacha Pass and that paid off for our northern guests who love them some Sheepshead for the dinner table! Things will only get better with this amazing weather so book your trip today. Spring break is almost upon us and that means fishing with the kids! Don’t miss your chance to spend a day on the water with Captain Jay and see why we are the top rated fishing charter service in Cape Coral and Fort Myers! Captain Jay
