Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, Matlacha and Pine Island Fishing Report8/24/2022 The inshore fishing remains strong in Southwest Florida! With good numbers of Snook, Redfish, Trout and nice keeper snappers added to the mix!
Been finding the Snook in the usual spots along Sanibel and Captiva Island. Nice numbers of healthy fish also showing up along the Cape Coral and Fort Myers shorelines. Redfish looks very promising for the upcoming season. With good numbers of slot fished around the northern tip of Pine Island Sound and some decent numbers on the south end mixed in with some Snook as well. Mangrove snappers have been providing some great table fare for our guests with with some nice keeper mangs feeding in the early morning hours on the nearshore wrecks. Still a couple weeks left of summer before our favorite time of year, the fall! Look for the upcoming King Tides in September to really get the inshore bight on fire!! Captain Jay
