Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, Matlacha and Pine Island Fishing Report

The weather is warming up and so is the fishing!!!

The warming trend has really gotten the bite going here in southwest Florida. Especially the Snook! We had steady Snook action all last week with good numbers of upper slot fish as well as many under slot releases.  

The shorelines along Cape Coral and Fort Myers produced the bigger fish on the high afternoon tides.  Handpick shrimp worked best for us as well as some whitebait. 

We found lots of just under slot fish in the deeper cuts on low tide along Sanibel and Captiva Islands.  The lower than normal tides made it hard to access some areas but we were definitely rewarded for it.
