Finally got a decent cold front move through the area. And while the temperature may have cooled down, the inshore bite certainly has not!
Redfish were the star of the week with nice upper slot fish landed in the flats along Sanibel Island and Captiva Island. Also managed some nice Reds in northern Matlacha Pass on the warmer afternoon tides. Snook slowed down a bit as expected with the colder temps but we still managed to find lots of hungry ones in the canals along Cape Coral and Fort Myers. Big trout are making for some non-stop action during the late morning tides. Not to mention some easy and delicious table fare for our guests. Looks like the cold is moving on and temps will be rising quickly providing for even more steady action inshore. Still some spots left in January so book now to save a slot! Captain Jay
